At the 2023 Met Gala in New York City honoring the late legendary fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld, Amanda Seyfried took a major fashion risk by wearing a see-through minidress made of layers of just shimmering silver chains.
The 37-year-old Big Love star stuns in a thigh-skimming Oscar de la Renta dress and Cartier jewelry as she ascends the museum’s famous staircase in open-toed metallic gold pumps.
The mother-of-two stunned onlookers in her fourth appearance at the prestigious and glamorous fashion event, known as “fashion’s biggest night,” thanks to her racy outfit, which was dripping in crystals and featured a subtle mesh-insert to preserve her modesty while still showcasing her incredibly toned legs.
The Mean Girls starlet went for a bright crimson lip, warm-toned light brown eyeshadow to highlight her stunning green eyes, and bronzer to give her a healthy sheen.
The performer’s golden blonde hair was styled into voluminous tight curls that cascaded down her back. She won her first Golden Globe earlier this year for her role as Elizabeth Holmes in Hulu’s The Dropout.
Although she exudes self-assurance at events like the Costume Institute Gala and the Costume Institute Benefit, Seyfried admitted in December that she still gets nervous walking the red carpet.
“The red carpet is a different animal; it’s very brief and it’s very frantic,” she told Harper’s Bazaar of the experience.
‘You don’t really have enough time,’ the Oscar hopeful continued. It’s more like acting when I’m on a shoot; I enjoy fashion because it’s an art form.
The Pennsylvania-born wife of Thomas Sadoski remarked that, unlike on the red carpet, she could take as much time as she needed to feel confident in her outfit.
Actress Amanda Seyfried has gushed over her longtime stylist Elizabeth Stewart, calling her “so savvy” and “amazing” for always finding the perfect pieces for her.
Insisting that “she has these incredible relationships with designers,” the actress praised her colleague’s professional connections. I appreciate her so much because she knows what clothes will flatter my figure and where I draw the line when it comes to style.
Seyfried has said that she values convenience and ease of life more than anything else these days.
She reflected, “I think my style has really always stayed in one place; it has evolved here and there, and of course my body has changed when I’ve had kids, but I have always been one to wear sweatpants as often as I can.
