NECO Announces the 2023 Results and Says 61% of Candidates Passed

The National Examinations Council (NECO) has recently announced the release of the 2023 examination results, revealing that a majority of candidates, specifically 61%, have achieved a passing grade.

According to the Registrar of the National Examinations Council (NECO), Professor Dantani Wushishi, the outcome summary indicates that 61.6 percent of the candidates achieved a minimum of five credits, which includes English and Mathematics.

The 2023 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) internal results have been issued by the National Examination Council.

During a press briefing held on Tuesday in Minna, the Registrar of the National Examinations Council (NECO), Prof. Dantani Wushishi, reported that the summary of the results indicates that 61.6 percent of candidates achieved a minimum of five credits, including English and Mathematics.

A total of 1,205,888 individuals enrolled for the examination, while 1,196,985 students actually took the examinations.

In providing a comprehensive analysis of the data, Wushishi reported that a total of 616,398 candidates were identified as male, while 580,587 candidates were classified as female participants in the Examination.

The total count of candidates who achieved five or more credits, including English and Mathematics, was 737,308.

The total count of candidates possessing five credits, regardless of English and Mathematics, is 1,013,611, which accounts for 84.68 percent.

The speaker stated that the total number of candidates who have enrolled for the examination is 1,205,888. This figure comprises 621,084 males and 584,804 females.

The total number of candidates that participated in the examination was 1,196,985, with 616,398 being male and 580,587 being female. The total count of candidates who have achieved a minimum of five credits, which includes both English and Mathematics, is 737,308. This figure corresponds to a percentage of 61.60%.

The total count of applicants who have achieved five or more Credits, regardless of their performance in English and Mathematics, is 1,013,611, which accounts for 84.68% of the total.
