“Avengers” star Jeremy Renner claims he broke more than 30 bones in a snowplow accident on New Year’s Day that kept him in the hospital for more than two weeks.
Renner, best known for his role as the Marvel movie and TV series “Universe” superhero archer Hawkeye, was hit by a snowplow while clearing a driveway near his Nevada home, leaving him with “blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries,” according to his publicist.
Renner claimed he was “completely crushed under a large snowcat (vehicle)” and had “extreme (difficulty) breathing.” “The right side of his chest is collapsed – upper torso is crushed,” it continues.
Renner’s snowcat, an engine-powered machine used to clear snow, began to roll away while Renner was out of the driver’s seat, according to Washoe County Sheriff Darin Balaam.
He had two surgeries and was admitted to the intensive care unit.
On Saturday, January 21, he posted a photo to Instagram with the caption;
