OLX shuts down offices in Nigeria

It has been confirmed that on-line marketplace, OLX has clean up its offices in Nigeria.

According to Punch the staff were formally informed of the decision on Tuesday through a notice of termination, which will begin in March.

Speaking to the Newspaper, the public Relations and Communications Lead of OLX Nigeria, Uche Nwagboso said:

We created a tough but necessary decision in Nigeria to consolidate our operations between some of our offices internationally. Our marketplace can still operate here – uninterrupted – as it has since 2010, and we stay committed to the numerous people here who use our platform to shop for and sell each month.

We continue to be centered on perpetually innovating to make sure that OLX remains the top classified platform within the country. Of course, we are committed to helping our affected colleagues during this transition and have already offered them meaningful money and different support

As we’ve expressed to them directly, we are extremely grateful for their several important contributions to OLX’s success.
